When Mr. C not enough sleep = highly dangerous care-giver

Weeks ago, Mrs. C kena the flu bugs and was on medications that make her sleep like a rock at night drowsy. And this illness of her drags on for 2 weeks. So for most nights in those 2 weeks, Mr. C is the pacifier and/or milk-man for Miss C.

One very night, Miss C was waking up and then cried to get our attention, every 1 - 2 hours. And after 2nd or 3rd pacifying by Mr. C (cos Mrs. C is knocked out by the drugs), Mr. C is very the steam liao. So when Miss C cried the 3rd or 4th, Mr. C still has to pick Miss C up and cradle/pat/pacify her while walking around the bed & cot. But Mr. C was so damn steam that he was walking with his eyes closed. And so the unthinkable happen, he banged knocked Miss C's head against the baby cot while walking passed the cot.

And Miss C was not one to suffer in silence, she SCREAMED in pain. I was so terrified not because of her sudden loud cries, not because Mrs. C is undisturbed by her loud cries, but afraid that her small tender head would suffer from the knock. So terrified and guilty that I keep rubbing her head and saying sorry to her and with the eyes half-closed still. Luckily, she stop crying after quite a while. And this should mean that the pain has subsided, and hence no injury - I think.

The next day I confessed to Mrs. C about the bang (because she did not wake up at all to Miss C loud cries).

She told me sternly- Don't do things you might regret because of your negligence, it's only a few months, the most a year, just endure.

Lacking in Motor Skills

Recently, Miss C went for the 6 months vaccination and the doctor did a development assessment of her as well.

She has not learned to roll over and back as yet.

She cannot sit on her own, not even for 1 sec.

Her leg is not supporting herself when the doctor propped her straight.

Aiyo.... how like that??? Must start her on intensive Remedial Training. Few months back, I was even telling my Mrs C that the later that Miss C learned to roll over the better. - Must slap myself for that.

Now when told that she is lacking in this motor skills development by the pediatrician, I start to worry.

never say things that I might regret later...

2 fast 2 furious

Last post was on the 25th of May.

Today is 8th July. Already missed 6 weeks.

Must write regularly from now on. Cause infants & toddlers really develop very fast and with the blink of an eye, I have missed documenting many major happenings.

2 fast 2 furious... or should i say Initial D?
